Archicoam invests in a historical building in Wrocław

Archicam Group will restore the glory of buildings 62-67 at Witolda Street in Wrocław

A committee appointed by the Mayor of Wrocław chose a  project presented by one of the companies belonging to Archicom Group. The project is concerned with a historical building which for 60 years housed garrison bakery. The new owner will restore the old glory of the building and will assign new functions to it.

Program-spatial architectural concept includes creation of an Art Centre with associated services, office and conference zone and residential zone – says Rafał Jarodzki, President of Archicom. It will take at least a year before the construction works can begin and the retrofit itself will take about two years.

The buildings are registered in the Registry of Historical Buildings. It has two storeys and was built at the beginning of the 20th century. At that time Wyspa Mieszczeńska was the largest centre of military buildings in Wrocław. In the neighbourhood there were, among other things, the main military hospital, administration and complexes of stables and warehouses.

It is yet another project retrofitted by Archicom Group. Regardless of the economic situation we carry out our undertakings. We use our experience gained at the retrofit of Lofty Platinum created at the spot of a 19th century distillery at Inowrocławska Street. We are going to repeat the uncommon in the city effect. Our priority, as in the case of Lofty, is to underline the historical character of the building and connect it to true art – says Rafał Jarodzki.
