A symbolic opening of the West Gate office structure was held on 10th December this year. Thus, the period of removal and finishing works lasting from May has been officially completed. The building of the investment owned by Echo Investment started in autumn 2013 and the office was fully rented at the end of the previous year.
Appreciation and interest among tenants is not the only reason for us to be proud. West Gate received the BREEAM Excellent certificate in February this year, which is owned only by several office investments in Poland. Importantly, it was a high result at the level of 72.8 per cent. This special honorable mention confirms that our building is equipped with effective solutions using water and energy and thus – eco-friendly – says Katarzyna Kubicka, Senior Leasing Manager, Department of Offices and Hotels, Echo Investment.
Arcad architectural studio from Kielce is responsible for project of the building which is a close solid with glazed elevation. The structure offers 16 200 sq. m and it is located at Lotnicza Street in the neighborhood of Park Zachodni. That six-tier office was equipped with e.g. access control system, energy-saving air-conditioning and ventilation, air humidity control system as well as eco-friendly lightening system. Moreover, there are bicycle stands on the area of the investment and inside the structure – special changing-rooms and showers for bicyclists.
The group of tenants in West Gate includes Deichmann, Enel-Med and Nokia Networks. The last mentioned company, which is one of the biggest enterprises in the telecommunication industry, decided to locate its 4th Wrocław department in the office. Moreover, the Laboratory of the European Programming and Engineering Center of Nokia is located in the building. Ca. 1200 IT experts will be working in the new office with the size of 14 000 sq. m. It is the best evidence for dynamic development of the company. It is necessary to mention that the team of the Wrocław department of Nokia was composed of only 10 people in 2000. At present, we here 2850 experts in the capital of Lower Silesia who work on technologies that facilitate use of telephone networks and the mobile Internet every day. We are convinced that the comfort of work is reflected in its quality, we chose the modern West Gate building and we equipped our offices with the most modern office devices, high quality chairs and electronically regulated desks.
