British phone booths will be developed into miniature offices. It is a new idea of American company Bark Works. The project called "Pod Works" will be launched in London, Leeds and Edinburgh at first. Red phone booths will be developed into small offices for entrepreneurs who are always up and doing or people who need space for work before an important meeting or conversation. Each "Pod Works" will be equipped with high-speed Internet access, printer, scanner, wireless computer mouse as well as 25-inch screen. What's more, all users of the office will gain access to the machine with hot drinks. Monthly subscription, within which one may benefit from each equipped work station round-the-clock, will amount to 19.99 pounds. The company is planning further development of the concept, that is development of unused phone booths into micro offices located in main cities on the area of the whole Great Britain.

Entrepreneurs and others, who are always up and doing, need a convenient, not expensive and private work place. Why should they sit in Starbucks or any other cafe when one of our Pods will allow them to consternate on their work before an important meeting or presentation at a lower price than two cups of coffee in a week (ed.) – says Jonathan Black, CEO of Bar Works.

Bar Works was founded last year in New York. It offers work places reminding bars in different locations. Users benefitting from its services gain an entrance to the premises as well as unlimited access to office devices within a monthly subscription.
