The signed lease agreement is one of the biggest transactions concluded on the markets of regional cities in 2015. The ABB company is going to occupy half of the office area (10 000 sq. m) offered by the structure which is going to deliver 20 000 sq. m to the market. In result, the office will be commercialized in 50 per cent six months before the planned commission. Moreover, ca. 1000 experts of the company will be working in the headquarters of ABB. Experts from the area of IT delivering services to the whole ABB group will be working in a building, the general contractor of which is Skanska. Thanks to removal to Axis, we will consolidate several Cracow offices of ABB in one place and we will provide employees with a convenient workplace which favors effectiveness and creativity. We would like the new offices to set new standards of work. It is also worth mentioning about application of the newest solutions of ABB such as switchgears, transformers and systems of intelligent steering of the building KNX. Thanks to cooperation with Skanska, the office will become a reference building for our modern technologies – emphasized Janusz Machnicki, Chairman for Property Management, ABB in Poland.
The agreement with ABB shows great potential of the Cracow market of office areas. It has been our biggest contract in 2015 so far. By offering the area to Axis, we are providing our new tenant with something more than just an office building. Axis will offer ca. 20 000 sq. m of modern office area. It is located in the very heart of the city center of Cracow in close proximity to Rondo Mogilskiego. There will be green solutions applied in the structure which will allow to reduce the energy and water consumption by respectively 25 per cent and over 50 per cent in comparison to local requirements. It will be confirmed by the LEED certificate at the Gold level. The structure with 9 aboveground and 3 underground tiers is being realized in accordance with the Workplaces by Skanska conception. The planned commission of the investment is envisaged on the fourth quarter of 2016. Axis is the second project of Skanska Property Poland which is located in Cracow. The realization of the Kapelanka 42 complex was completed in 2014.
