ECO Artim bets on ecology

Opole. The floors of this high quality Office and Services Center are made from bamboo planks.

Inevitably, every A-class office building needs to be built using materials of highest quality, which are both modern and durable at the same time. Opole's Atrium is a good example of an office building built in high standard, whose constructors staked on durability.

One of the applied solutions are moso bamboo (three times harder than oak) planks used to cover the floors. It is important both in the context of the developer's ecological approach to the investment's realisation as well as his economical sense. Bamboo floors don't need to be replaced too often, and the planks' decomposition doesn't last hundreds of years. The timber provides interiors with an appropriate class and a unique style, depending on the architect's concept- either classical or modern.

- We always thoroughly examine our suppliers. We ensure that the material comes from ecological plantations, not from uncontrolled forestry clearances. Another argument confirming the ecological benefits this solution provides is the fact, that a bamboo grows quickly and is ready for harvesting after just 5 - 6 years, compared to oak's 100 - 130 - explains Katarzyna Rumbold, Vice President of  Kopp – Podłogi Naturalnie Doskonałe.

Artim's stairways, corridors, bathrooms and social areas are also lined with a durable material - natural stone (granite ).

- Both bamboo and stone floors combine exceptional durability, endurance as well as high aesthetic and hygienic values - says Zbigniew Adamiszyn, "Artim" Ltd. Board Chairman.

The three-floor Office and Services Center Artim has an area of 1980 m2. The building is located within 2 km from city's center and just 1 km from it's bypass. Among it's lessees are „Coca-Cola”, „Capgemini Polska”, Opole's Państwowa Inspekcja Pracy.
