Porty Lotnicze are going to present a project of Chopin Airport City, a business town, on MIPIM International Real Estate Trade Show in Cannes.

MIPIM International Real Estate Trade Show, held March 12–15, 2013 in Cannes, is one of the most important events in the European real estate industry. Warsaw's stall is going to present the innovative project of a business town Chopin Airport City.

Porty Lotnicze, the operator of Warsaw Chopin Airport, initiated the project aiming at the creation of a business town located on 225 acres, nearby the passenger terminal. The investment is going to consist in the construction of 17 office blocks, class A, surrounded by water pools and  walking lanes. The project will be presented at the MIPIM to the potential international business partners, i.e. developers and the representatives of real estate investment funds.

Porty Lotnicze is going to form a holding company Chopin Airport City S.A. by the end of 2013, which will oversee the realisation of the project. As a holding company, we will be able to undertake capital ventures, either in our own or with our business partners  – comments Michał Marzec, CEO of Porty Lotnicze. - We are also working on a detailed site development plan, as well as an optimum schedule for the project. The more precise the concept, the easier it will be for us to present it to our future investors and discuss it with them.

The construction will begin in 2014. Presently, the preparatory works are being carried out. In June 2012 the railway connection was opened between the Warsaw city centre and Chopin Airport. Within the framework of the project, a hotel chain is developing as well. By the end of 2013, they plan to open a five-star hotel Renaissance belonging to Marriott and a two-star Hampton by Hilton.
