The reconstruction and modernization of the T1 terminal at the Warsaw airport has been already completed.

The HOCHTIEF Poland and HOCHTIEF Solutions AG consortium managed to finish the investment in the area of reconstruction and modernization of the T1 terminal and its connection with the T2 terminal. The project consisted in demolition of the T1 terminal, building of a new structure with the total area of ca. 60 000 sq. m (Terminal A) and realization of a 60-meter long tunnel connecting the building with the SKM railway station and delivering of a baggage holding system (BHS).

 

The modernized building is equipped with 48 check-in stands, offices, airline’s cash registers, posts of travel agencies, car rentals and nine additional control posts. Moreover, there are also two Executive Lounge salons, rooms intended for prayers and meditation, first aid room, service premises, restaurants, café and bank located in the structure. The roof of the terminal is equipped with photovoltaic cells with the total area of 7000 sq. m. The building will be available for all passengers from 21th May this year.
