ROCKWOOL opens a competence center in Maraton. The company is a new player on the Poznan market, however, it plans further recruitment and hiring 100 new employees.

Due to planned increase in personnel, ROCKWOOL decided to rent 1546 sq. m of office space. The company is to move into Maraton at the beginning of the following year. The new competence center is to be located at Królowa Jadwiga Street and it is to be engaged in services in the area of IT and finances. The company is planning to extend the personnel, which is currently composed of 35 people, by 100 new employees. ROCKWOOL is a global leader in solutions based on rock mineral wool. The company hires more than 10 600 employees in 35 countries.

While making a decision on opening a new competence center, we wanted to choose a location which will be culturally close to us and which will guarantee the access to qualified employees in particular. Poznań turned out to be a place which has the energy of modern and European city. Maraton, the building situated in the very heart of the city, allows us to feel its true atmosphere, offering high quality work space for newly employed specialists. This combination was crucial to us during making a decision about removal to this place – explains Dick Snellenberg, Financial Director of ROCKWOOL.

ROCKWOOL became a neighbor of six other companies of the sector of services for business, which have already situated their headquarters in the building realized by Skanska. Other tenants of office space are such companies as Duni European Finance Function, Bridgestone EBS, APS, CentureLink and REHAU Business Services. After signage of this contract, Maraton is rented in more than 50 per cent. The tenant was represented by consulting company JLL during the process of searching for a new location and negotiating lease conditions.

Maraton is currently being built in the city center of Poznań. The structure is equipped with many green solutions, which are confirmed with the LEED certification at the Gold level. The office is to offer 25 000 sq. m of leasable area. The building is to be soon totally commissioned. Maraton is the second – after Malta House – investment of Skanska Property Poland in Poznań.
