Warsaw Spire distinguished by Czech people

Warsaw Spire awarded in the Czech competition Stavba Roku
Warsaw Spire has been awarded in the prestigious Czech architecture and construction competition – Stavba Roku.

Warsaw Spire skyscraper was distinguished once again outside the territory of Poland. The major project of Ghelamco Poland received a statuette in the category: Foreign Building of the Year in the Stavba Roku competition.

We are very pleased that both modern architecture of Warsaw Spire and innovative solutions applied in the building were appreciated by the Czech architecture and construction industry – says Jeroen van der Toolen, Managing Director of Ghelamco in Central and Eastern Europe. – This is not the first time when Warsaw Spire is distinguished in a foreign competition, positioning our project among the leading global office buildings – adds Jeroen van der Toolen.

Warsaw Spire is not only a major investment of Ghelamco Poland but it is also a building which somehow constitutes an icon of the dynamically developing capital of Poland. It is currently the highest and the largest office complex in Poland (220-meter-high investment, 109 000 sq. m of office space). An integral part of this project is the European Square, that is public space on a private developer’s plot designed for the inhabitants of Warsaw. Warsaw Spire is currently commercialized in over 95 per cent.

Stavba Roku competition is one of the most prestigious architecture and construction competitions in the world. It has been organized for 25 years by Architecture and Construction Development Foundation. The investments submitted to the competition compete in two categories: Building of the Year and Foreign Building of the Year. The patron is the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
