The placement of the cornerstone under the green office building Malta House has been celebrated on June 21st 2012.

The placement of the cornerstone has been celebrated in the construction site on ks. Arcybiskupa Antoniego Baraniaka Street.  The representatives of the investor, Skanska Company, and Jerzy Stępień, the vice-president of Poznań, have signed the foundation act. Apart from the act, the front pages of newspapers from June 21st have been placed in the special nickel-plated tube.

The vice-president of Poznań, Jerzy Stępień, said: The access to high-class office areas is an important factor that increases the investment attractiveness of Poznań for modern branches like BPO, SSC or R&D. New buildings that are being constructed in accordance to the highest standards facilitate the attraction of new investors to the city and the development of the ones that function in Poznań already.

Malta House is the first office building in Poznań that will obtain the platinum LEED certificate. What is more, the building is designed to blend as well as possible in the surrounding landscape, which characteristic point is the Malta Lake. The facility will consist of five overground and two underground floors. The office building is going to provide 15.700 sq. m of rental space. Malta House has been designed by Pentagram Architekci.
