Tomorrow at 10 a.m. all passengers will be able to benefit from a new Warszawa Zachodnia railway station – the effect of cooperation between PKP, Xcity Investment and HB Reavis. It is the first our investment realized in cooperation with PKP SA. I hope that it will be not the last one because the Warszawa Zachodnia railway station is our great success. The building is ready for usage almost 12 months before starting the building – said Stanislav Frnka, chairman of the board, HB Reavis Poland.
The building with the size of ca. 1300 sq. m is located at Jerusalem Avenues. It will make the communication of travelers from Ochota, Włochy or Mokotów districts much easier. Moreover, it will be also an additional area for the old structure located at Tunelowa Street. The architectural project of the investment was devised in the FS&P ARCUS architectural studio. The characteristic elements of the building are e.g. a glazed dome right above the entrance as well as 20-meter-high clock tower and its dial with the diameter amounting to 3.5 m. The new building of the railway station is almost entirely located above the ground.
Together with HB Reavis we created a place where passengers may wait for a train, drink a coffee and buy a newspaper in comfortable conditions. The railway station was built in accordance with the newest trends, the space is effectively planned and functional – says Jarosław Bator, member of the board, PKP SA. The realization of the new Warszawa Zachodnia railway station contributed to the extension of a space for travelers who can still benefit from the existing structure located at Tunelowa Street. The main objective of the new railway station is service of local connections for people from Warsaw who commute every day from the neighboring cities – adds Bator.
Warszawa Zachodnia railway station is located in close proximity to the West Station complex which is currently being realized. The building of the Warsaw project of HB Reavis started in the fourth quarter of 2014. The first stage of realization will be ready in the third quarter of 2016 whereas the second – in the fourth quarter of 2017. Two 14-tier office buildings will offer jointly 68 400 sq. m of space to their tenants. The group of first tenants includes e.g. companies owned by PKP – PKP SA, PKP Informatyka and PKP Intercity as well as car wash Carsan and cafe Friends. The architectural project of the complex was devised in the FS&P ARCUS architectural studio.
