Record half-year for Colliers

Colliers International has just exceeded 63 000 m2 of office space leased since the beginning of the year.

The example of Colliers International shows that the office market in Poland is doing well. The company has just crossed the threshold of 63 000 m2 of the leased office space in 43 transactions.

For comparison, the result for the first half of the previous year is about 48 000 m2, and 43 000 m2 the year before. Despite the slowdown in decision-making processes among tenants and investors, activity in the office market is not decreasing. Year after year, the number of office transactions concluded is consecutively increasing, so it is highly likely that we will reach a record result also at the end of this year – comments Paweł Skałba, Partner in Colliers International, the Director of Office Agency.

Colliers’ Office Agency is responsible for representation of both building’s tenants and owners. It operates in Poland, especially in Warsaw. It is also in the capital of Poland that the company has its headquarters. Regional branches of Colliers are located in Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań and Szczecin.

In Warsaw only our clients have leased over 35 500 m2, whereas the other part fell to regional cities, such as Wrocław, Kraków, Tricity, Łódź and Poznań. More than 50 per cent of the transactions concluded were relocations, and rest are renegotiations and new lease agreements. We predict that in the second half of the year market activity will be still increasing – says Paweł Skałba.

Colliers International is a multinational from commercial real estate sector. It operates through 482 offices in 62 countries and employs over 13 500 workers.
