ECO Sustainable buildings for the climate...

...and climate for the sustainable buildings. Under such a brand a new side event of Zielony Klimat exhibition, under the Climatic Conference COP19, will take place.

Buildings are responsible for almost 40 % of emission of CO2 to the atmosphere. On the 21st of November 2013, the PLGBC (Polish Green Building Council), would like to invite all for the conference 'Zrównoważone budynki dla klimatu. Klimaty dla zrównoważonych budynków'. In a tent under the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, such issues as the influence of green buildings on the limitation of climate changes and the situation of balanced construction in Poland and its perspectives will be discussed.

 

The event will begin at 10.30 with the welcoming of Rafał Schurma from PLGBC. Next will be the presentation 'Taichung – Approaching to a low carbon city' which will be presented by Chilin Cheng, Ph.D. Vice Chair of Taiwan Green Building Council. At 11.10, prof. dr. hab. inż. arch. Wacław Celadyn from Cracow's University of Science will give his speech and Rafał Schurma will tell all about green buildings in Poland and Europe. Next, dr. hab. inż. arch. Teresa Kusionowicz from Cracow's University of Technology will share her experiences. This part of the conference will be finished with the presentation of sponsoring companies – Armstrong and Górażdże Cement.

 

After the brake, a discussion panel named ''Climates' for the sustainable construction, i.e. the legal, commercial, social, educational background – the situation of green building and its perspectives' will take place. Some of the participants will be: the representative of Bureau of Infrastructure for the Capitol City of Warsaw Marcin Wróblewski, from the Cracow's University of Science prof. dr. hab. inż. arch. Wacław Celadyn and dr. hab. inż. arch. Teresa Kusionowicz, representing the Kaczor Plimczyk Pucher Wypiór Adwokaci mec. Radosław Skowron, Head of Project Management Department in East-Central Europe from Jones Lang LaSalle Paweł Warda.

 

At 5.00 p.m. a show addressed to the young generation by Teatr Moich Marzeń 'In 80 days around the world' will take place.
