Warsaw. Next week angrand ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the most green office building in this part of Europe shall take place.

Atrium 1 won't be just another modern building, no different from other buildings of this type. This super energy-efficient and the most green office building in Central-Eastern Europe is going to offer it's lessees an area of 18 000 m2. Atrium 1 already has four undeground levels, created with the use of Suspended Ceiling method.

On the 12th of october at 12:30 in the presence of Waldemar Olbryka, Skanska Property Poland Board Chairman's, as well as representatives of city's administration, a grand ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of this unique building, which will be using half the energy similar buildings meeting Polish standards do, shall take place.

This Warsaw's office building has already been pre-certified in the balanced building's grading system LEED on the highest, platinum level. The structure shall be equipped among else with a pioneer geothermal cooling and heating system ( installed probes shall circulate water, depending on the time of year a source of either heat or chill ). This system is present in but a few other office buildings in Europe. Even it's rooftop area is going to be utilized so that it's friendly to the environment. The installed photovoltanic cells shall support geothermal cooling and heating system's operation.

Situated by Rondo ONZ, Atrium 1 is to be completed at the turn of years 2013/2014. The building's design has been created by Biuro Projektów Kazimierski i Ryba Sp.J. , and it's general contractor is Skanska S.A. Skanska Property Poland is responsible for the building's commercialization.
