ECO The tallest skyscrapers in the westerm Europe are going to be built in Paris by a Russian developer

Russian developer Hermitage presents a Project of a complex that will be taller than Shard, London.

The investment is expected to cost approximately 3 billions euro and be built at the outskirts of Paris. Hermitage Plaza consist of two 320-metre multifunctional towers, which are expected to take over the title of the tallest skyscraper of the Western Europe, which currently belongs to Shard, London. The complex is going to be located in the business district La Defense and offer luxury flats, offices as well as a Five Star hotel. In terms of height, The Eiffel Tower will be the only higher object in Paris.

The skyscrapers will be visible from every place in the city. We hope that before the end of the year we will have both the financial agreement finalised and the project initiated. - announces Emin Iskenderov, Chief Executive w Hermitage

The idea is to create the first French skyscraper containing offices, flats and a hotel. The decision to build this object coincides with falling real property prices and office space rents. In such a difficult period it is not an easy undertaking to perform. Such an investment is a difficult task to complete because of both safety and flow of users within the facility. - Comments Olivier Gerard, Head of Cushman & Wakefield France

Emin Iskenderov is not discouraged by difficult economic conditions and difficulties within the project itself, and indicates at similar project in Asia and Middle East that celebrate their success. They plan to offer services that are not found anywhere else in Paris. If this project succeeds, there might be a place for it on the market, of course, if it will be done well. - observes Alexander Kraft, Chairman and CEO w Sotheby’s International Realty in France and Monaco

Hermitage Plaza was designed in the Foster+Partners studio.

The complex will consist of two towers, that are going to be finished in early 2019, and which are going to have 58 and 86 floors, as well as four smaller buildings. The overall space of Hermitage Plaza will include residential area (165 000 sqm), office space (40 000 m2), shops and restaurants (35 000 sqm) as well as hotel space (35 000 sqm). The investment will be prepared to fulfil the requirements of BREEAM Certificate on the Excellent level.
