Corian is an ecological, solid and extremely aesthetical material which enables building structures to gain an untypical and rounded shape. At present, Corian is being mounted on the elevation of a multifunctional OVO Wrocław complex which is being realized in the capital of Lower Silesia. It has already covered about 75 per cent of the building.
The realization of OVO Wrocław is coming to a close. Its commission is planned on 2016. At present, ca. 370 people are working at the construction site and most of the activities are conducted inside the building. The scope of present works includes the finishing of rooms on aboveground tiers, plastering of conference halls and tiling of kitchen in the Double Tree by Hilton hotel. Moreover, works on the hotel floors are currently being conducted – on the first and second floors and wooden window joinery is being mounted on the fourth level – that is the lowest of three apartment floors. The finishing of rooms has already started here. We are also finishing the bricklaying of partition walls and we are starting installation works soon – adds Paweł Laszecki, engineer of the OVO Wrocław project.
The general contractor of OVO Wrocław is Eiffage Polska Budownictwo SA which is conducting works in so called design&build system. It means that executive project is being realized parallel to construction works and it properly exceeds the building. The works are being conducted in accordance with the schedule.
