A ceremonial building of a cornerstone into Nowa Fabryczna – the first office building which is to be realized on the area of Nowe Centrum Łodzi – was held on 22th March. The participants of the event were President of Łódź Hanna Zdanowska and representatives of the City Hall, representatives of Skanska SA – general contractor of the building as well as developer – Skanska Property Poland.
Nowe Centrum Łodzi is currently a big construction site. The new district is being developed mainly thanks to Skanska, which is realizing two investments in very prestigious locations. The offices of Skanska will be the first structures which will be seen by travelers leaving the new underground Dworzec Fabryczny. I am glad that the company is not only building Nowe Centrum with us but it is also creating new working places, thousands of which will be offered in these buildings – Hanna Zdanowska, President of Łódź, says.
Nowe Centrum is a unique project on a world scale, a huge operation on a living city organism, which will offer big-city and modern character. Our office project will be an important element of this concept. Nowa Fabryczna is being realized in front of Dworzec Fabryczny. The structure will be composed of 7 aboveground and 2 underground tiers. The office will deliver 21 500 sq. m of leased area to the market in Łódź. The building will also offer space for more than 2 thousand people. A car park with 210 parking places, public patio, modern bicycle infrastructure, including public bicycle point will be given at tenants' disposal. The project will be awarded LEED certificate at the Gold level. The commission of the investment is envisaged at the turn of the second and third quarters of 2017. The project of the building was devised in the Silesian studio medusa group. The general contractor of the office will be Skanska SA whereas Skanska Property Poland will be responsible for its commercialization.
