A pre-premiere screening of “The Salesman” will be held on 18 April this year in the Warsaw’s cinema Muranów at 8 p.m. It is a new movie directed and written by Asghar Farhadi, who is the author of the Oscar-winning movie “A Separation”. “The Salesman” received an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and it also won two awards – Best Screenplay and Best Male Actor during the festival in Cannes.
“The Salesman” is a psychological thriller, which takes place in modern Teheran. The movie presents a story of a young married couple, which suddenly has to flee from their apartment. The couple moves into another premises offered by their friend. However, they are not aware of the previous tenant of this place. The new apartment becomes a witness of a terrible accident – the woman is assaulted by an unknown intruder. Her husband begins a private investigation. The man attempts to identify the aggressor at all costs, with no police force involved. Their life changes dramatically. In my newest movie, I would like to understand how the external circumstances can lead to a transformation from a calm man into though, rapid and brutal person – says the director.
“The Salesman” will be released during pre-premiere screenings organized by Interbiuro together with the film distributor Gutek Film, aimed at experts of the real estate industry.
