Kinnarps presents nine new fabrics selected in collaboration with architects and interior designers.

Our new fabrics are adjusted to the needs of the market and they are in harmony with our foregoing projects – says Christina Wiklund, Color-Material-Finish Manager, Kinnarps.

Kinnarps Color Studio collection includes hundreds of materials and colors thanks to which architects and interior designers can create creative and attractive solutions. The main assumption of this collection is the fact that colors influence our behaviors and emotions. The requirements related to sustainable development, quality and safety of materials are also of great importance. The fabric collection by Kinnarps is refreshed every three years. The year 2017 is the right time to do it again.

We always collaborate with departments responsible for design, production and marketing in order to have a total overview. This time we have decided to engage architects, interior designers and creators at the early stage of the process in order to meet their expectations and preferences concerning the materials – says Christina Wiklund.

After the series of creative workshops, nine fabrics were selected and included in the offer of Kinnarps. One of them is Fox, that is a material with a herringbone inspired by art déco and France during 1920s. Other materials are: Liv, which reminds a raw linen but it is actually a functional fabric – Trevira CS – and cotton Steelcut Trio.

Our strength are not only single materials but also the way the colors, the patterns and their expressive power play along. They are like our essential wardrobe which can be changed thanks to beautiful accessories – says Wiklund.
