Topping out has been placed in Poznan's office, which means reaching the highest point of construction.

Malta House, is a first office in Poznan, which received a LEED pre-certification. An official placing of topping-out on the area of building took place on 9th January. Building is located at Abp. A. Baraniaka Street. The execution of the investment is planned on the third quarter of 2013.

Building is erecting in a very fast pace. I see, how it will bustle. Its localization is perfect encouraging to lowering the frequency of cars' usage and staying fit because of a good access to the urban transport and conveniences for cyclists. We're glad that building and its location are liked by future leaseholders. Interest in the investment, which total space is 15 700sqm, is large - says Łukasz Kaleciński, Project Manager, Skanska Propery Poland.

Malta House offers five aboveground tiers and two underground ones, its shape will be in a U letter. The structure is erecting with application of principles of sustainable building. Viewing terrace is being built on the roof of the construction with the exposition on the Malta Lake. Green spaces will also be located in the office's patio. Within the project fulfilling expectations of LEED certification, adiabatic air humidifiers were mounted which due to a water fog, energy-saving lightning system, effective air-conditioning system, using a cold air from the outside to cooling the building and warm from the offices to heating the garages, and modern system of building management BMS. Special changing-rooms, showers and parking has been planned for cyclists. Parking spaces for electric cars are also planned.

Works connected with the construction of the building has been completed. Works connected with elevation, roof and montage of lifts, ceiling and floors are being done at the moment.

Slit walls has been done with atypical method kontraktor. It rests on putting a pipe into slit (until its bottom) through which a concrete is being pumped - says Dariusz Rzempała, Building Director, Skanska.

A large challenge during the execution of the building it's a small space on the construction site. Despite the outline of the building, it is 60 metres interior road with a width of 5 metres. Such a construction places needs from us a precise and suitable planning of orders and works. A modern project technology BIM is very helpful, so planning a structure and building in 3D. Due to it, we're executing works with a surgical precision - says Paweł Skrzypczak, Project Manager, Skanska.

Malta House is a first Skanska's project in Poznan.
