Maraton
Skanska Property Poland is starting realization of the second office investment in Poznan – Maraton building which offers over 25 000 sq. m of modern area to its tenants.

The building of the first stage of Great Poland investment will start in January 2015 and its commission is planned, in accordance with schedule, on the fourth quarter of 2016.

The project, which is being realized in the very heart of Poznan center, will be composed of 6 floors and two underground tiers with over 300 parking places. In the first stage, the underground garage part along with over 13 000 sq. m of office space will arise. The inspiration to give the building a sport name was Maratońska Street and proximity to sport structures – KS Warta Poznan club and Poznan Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji. The investor was advised by CBRE company in the transaction concerning the purchase of the area. The author of the project is CDF Architekci studio, the general contractor – Skanska SA and Skanska Property Poland is responsible for the commercialization.

Poznan is leading in the best regional cities to invest in Poland. It attracts global brands not only with the comfortable location but also with the access to good specialists – especially in the area of IT, finance and accounting, who also know foreign languages. The project of Maraton was designed for modern companies which need office buildings in order to develop dynamically and attract the most talented employees – says Krzysztof Wilczek, Regional Director in Skanska Property Poland.

Maraton will be certified in LEED system on Gold level. The green innovations will bring about i.a. energy saving on the level of minimum 25 per cent to local norms and water on the level of minimum 45 percent. The offices will be well lighted with a daylight. Moreover, they will be characterized by a great amount of fresh air and optimal and regulated in small zones temperature. The large area of floors will allow tenants to arrange space freely and it will provide a potentially further development of the company within one location – enumerates Krzysztof Wilczek.

The office will be the second Skanska investment of this type in the capital of Great Poland, after Malta House building – the first Poznan structure which received platinum LEED certificate. The office, which is located at Lake Malta, is almost completely rented.
