The new office in Tricity will be realized within two stages at Grunwaldzka Avenue. The plot of the size amounting to 9000 sq. m was purchased by Skanska. All works that prepare the area for investment will start in the first six months of the following year. It will be the first investment of this developer and construction group in Tricity.
The office complex will deliver ca. 42 000 sq. m of leased area to the market. The first building will be realized on the basis of the existing spatial development plan. Tenants will move into the investment in 2019. The second stage will consist in changing of the spatial development plan, mainly by increasing the number of parking places.
The greatest asset of the plot on which we are going to build modern office areas is a very good network of public communication and close proximity to University of Gdańsk. It is especially important for our tenants, that is e.g. companies from the sector of business services due to access to graduates and students as well as the process of conducting recruitments – says Łukasz Kaleciński, Regional Director of Skanska Property Poland.
Grunwaldzka Avenue constitutes one of the business streets in Tricity. It is a place where e.g. Olivia Business Center – the biggest business and office center in Northern Poland – is situated. Moreover, the building of another office of Alchemia is currently being conducted across the street.
Business plans of Skanska related to Tricity result from e.g. dynamical development of the sector of business services in this particular region. Tricity was considered as the most quickly developing location for service projects in Poland during the CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards gala. The number of employees in this sector increased by 40 per cent in the years 2014-2015.
