Nearly 2.5 thousand Varsovians are invited to the opening of Q22 on this weekend. The 155-meter-high building can be visited from the inside and the panorama of the capital can be admired from the highest tiers.

Numbers that describe Q22 are quite impressive. Almost 10 thousand tons of iron, 34 thousand cubic meters of concrete and glass of the size four times bigger than Piłsudski Square were used for the purpose of its building. Q22 has been the most spectacular investment of Echo Investment in Warsaw so far.

We received a use permit in July and we successfully completed the trial period of all installations and devices in the building. Now we can celebrate the success of this project – says Rafał Mazurczak, Member of the Board of Echo Investment, developer who built Q22.

Q22 is a 155-meter-high office composed of 38 tiers intended for offices and 53 thousand sq. m of area which is seven times bigger than Zamek Królewski (Wawel Castle). It was designed by architects of Kuryłowicz & Associates studio and it is situated in a place where Mercure hotel was present 5 years ago. Registered offices of such companies as Deloitte, Allegro, legal offices and advanced research and development centers are to be located in Q22.

Building of Q22 was a big challenge for Echo Investment. More than 80 Polish development companies as well as several hundred sub-contractors and deliverers were hired during its construction; there were even 750 people at the construction site in the peak moment. We used so much steel that would be enough for building of 190 freight wagons, two times more concrete than during building of Most Świętokrzyski (Świętokrzyski Bridge), 1 700 km of electric cables, 20 km of pipes and 7.5 thousand fire sprinklers – enumerates Rafał Mazurczak.

Q22 – analysis:

82 – the number of companies which worked directly at the construction site; almost all of them were Polish companies;

750 – the number of people at the construction site in the peak moment, that is March 2016;

9500 tons – the exact amount of steel used during construction: it would be enough for building of 190 freight wagons;

34 000 m3 – the amount of concrete. It is two times more than in case of Świętokrzyski Bridge;

53 000 sq. mthe size of offices for ca. 5 thousand employees; the area is 7.5 times bigger than Wawel Castle;

81,000 sq. m – the amount of glass used in building's facade. The area of Warsaw Piłsudski Square is four times smaller;

20 km – the total length of pipes installed in the building;

1 700 km – the amount of electric cables. It is the length from Warsaw to Rome;

360 – the number of washbasins in the building: every day different washbasin can be used.
