Managing Director of Ghelamco CEE Jeroen van der Toolen and Deputy Prime Minister of Development and Finances Mateusz Morawiecki
Ghelamco Poland was awarded "Belgian Business Chamber Award 2016" by the Belgian Business Chamber. The company was granted the distinction for the scale of business activity in Poland, economic development as well as innovative and responsible approach to business.

Belgian companies are awarded distinctions by the Belgian Business Chamber every year for achieving successes in Poland. The award ceremony is organized within the Belgian Days. The distinction "Belgian Business Chamber Award" is granted in recognition of merits to companies and private persons who support and promote Polish and Belgian relations.

Ghelamco Poland has been operating on the Polish market as investor, developer and general contractor for 25 years. Its portfolio includes projects of the value amounting to more than one million sq. m. Moreover, new investments are currently in realization. Ghelamco Poland discovered the potential of Mokotów, introduced a concept of business park to Poland and – as the first company – certified its office buildings in the prestigious BREEAM system. Moreover, Ghelamco is the first developer who noticed the potential of Wola. The Belgian company realized the complex of three buildings – Crown Complex – in the last ten years and it also located its major project in Wola, that is Warsaw Spire.

Ghelamco operates actively in the area of public space. The company realized Europejski Square, that is a new investment thanks to which the inaccessible city block was revitalized. Moreover, Ghelamco established Art in the City Foundation, the main goal of which is to enhance the city quality through artistic and ambient activities for local communities.

The award of the Belgian Economic Chamber is a great distinction for us. We are pleased that such a prestigious institution appreciated our endeavors in the area of sustainable development and – more importantly – activities in creating public space for inhabitants of cities and people working in our offices. This award is evidence for us that we do our best to create something special and that we are motivated to other innovative undertakings – says Jeroen van der Toolen, Managing Director of Ghelamco CEE.
