Sopra Steria Poland decided to extend a lease contract for ca. 4100 sq. m of office space in Altus located in Katowice.

Sopra Steria Poland decided to extend a lease contract for ca. 4100 sq. m of office space in Altus. The extension of cooperation with Altus for the next years concerning lease of office space will allow us to plan comfortably the company's development, especially that we are going to increase the employment to 1000 people in the following year. Technical conditions of the building allow us to offer services at the highest level, which is currently one of the most crucial issues on the IT market – says Marek Andrzejuk, Head of Shared Services, Sopra Steria Poland. At present, ca. 800 people are hired in the department located in Katowice. 


The tenant was represented by Colliers International consulting company during the transaction process, whereas the owner of the building was represented by Cushman & Wakefield agency. It is worth mentioning that this transaction was one of the biggest contracts concluded on the Katowice office market this year.


Sopra Steria Poland delivers services and IT solutions. The group of its main clients includes companies and public institutions which search for ways to make their activities more efficient as well as enhance their profits. Sopra Steria Poland hires 37 000 employees in over 20 countries.


Altus is located in the very heart of Katowice at the crossroads of Uniwersytecka and Piastowska Streets in the neighborhood of „Spodek” and Gen. Ziętek Roundabout. The office is composed of three joined solids which have a common atrium. The building is the highest skyscraper on the area of Silesia and the fourth highest structure in the country located outside Warsaw. Altus has 30 aboveground tiers and it is 125-meter-high. The total area of the structure amounts to nearly 70 000 sq. m, over 15 000 sq. m of which constitute office space class A. The building has been in the portfolio of Izera since 2013.
