Qatar national investment fund has bought Orange group's new headquarters in capital

Qatar national investment fund has bought Orange group's new headquarters. This investment is a proof of our faith in Poland's economic potential. It handles the crisis very well, the economic indicators are very strong - said Navid Charndia of Qatar Investment Authority.

The complex housing offices of companies such as Telekomunikacja Polska and a cellphone network operator Orange, is being erected on Warsaw's outskirts, on distant Jerozolimska Ave. Ultimately it will consist of five five-floor office buildings connected with a lobby and the first floor. Responsible for the project's architectural design is Stanisław Fiszer. The investment has been executed by a subsidiary of French developer Bouygues Immobilier, at whom TP has ordered the building and rented it for five years with an option of extending the lease for another five. The new office is to be ready in first half of 2013.

Qatari portfolio currently includes i.a. 17% of Volkswagen shares, 7 mln sq. m. in London's office center Canary Wharf as well as Harrods department store in London.
