Airbus opened a new office in Łódź

Ca. 100 people will be employed in Airbus Helicopters architectural office opened on 19th February. The Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency was responsible for the service of the project.

In the ceremony of the opening of the fourth such type Airbus office in Europe participated: Guillaume Faury – chairman in Airbus concern, President of Łódź Hanna Zdanowska and Łódź Voivode Jolanta Chełmińska.

 

Airbus decided to choose Forum 76 Business Center on the headquarters of its design office. The structure is located at Marshal J. Piłsudski Avenue and Stefan Kopciński Street. The office in Łódź will be engaged in designing new constructions of helicopters and their equipment as well as modernization of existing machinery.

 

The graduates from Łódź University of Technology may certainly count on employment. The University has been cooperating with the concern for 9 years. The vice-president for science in Łódź University of Technology announced that a new specialization related to aircraft technology will be opened in the next academic year.

 

Airbus Helicopters company was founded in 1992 and now it is the biggest global producer of helicopters. At present, the company is hiring over 23 thousand employees in different parts of the world.
