The aim of the event is the discussion over sustainable development of properties on a building, architectural assumptions and the whole urban agglomeration scale. During the meeting, three ways of certification will be discussed, which are LEED, BREEAM and DGNB.
In view of decreasing natural sources, energetic crisis and environment al problems, as well as social and economic ones, the need of wider perception of sustainable construction issues has emerged. The subject is current to the extent that in 2020 all of the new buildings will be obliged to be nearly zero energetic, and developers and individual investors are required to prepare energetic certificates by now. However, the issues concerning reliable certification of most of the aspects of sustainable development are still unclear in Poland, so a chance to regulate this matter may be a German certificate DGNB, which relate to European standards and seems to be the clearest of all multi-criterion systems of buildings’ valuation.
One of the components of the conference, will be also the issue connected to EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), because one should remember that sustainable construction is not only the construction of energy saving buildings, but also constructing them of ecologic materials. The example of such material is e. g. material wool manufactured in ECOSE technology, which do not contain formaldehyde, phenol and acrylic – said Ewa Kosmala, plenipotentiary of Kanuf Insultation’s Management Board and one of the conference’s talkers.
