On March 13 2012, Warsaw will gather a large group of forward thinking professionals during the first this year conference devoted to the topic of sustainable design.

The upcoming conference offers top quality educational program, presented in a new, interactive way.

The first part of the conference will be in a form of green design charrette, where participants will gain hands-on knowledge about the opportunities to green their offices. After short presentations by top Polish architectural offices, presenters - Marek Kurylowicz from Kurylowicz & Associates, Agnieszka Kalinowska- Sołtys from APA Wojciechowski, and Agnes Vorbrodt, PLGBC will lead the workshop sharing their extensive expertise of this topic. It will go through an express green design strategy from large – urban – through building scale, all the way to interiors.

After this interesting exercise, the participants will be able to network with others as well as presenters during a lunch break, offering sustainable food choices.

The second part will start by Agnes Vorbrodt presentation of the LEED for Homes International. This program, designed specifically for the residential market – both single and multifamily – is finally available on the European market for select projects. Developers and project teas will have an excellent opportunity to learn the details about this extremely popular program in the USA and China, and find out how they can gain a competitive advantage by taking part in this innovative opportunity.

This session will be followed by 2 case studies of two newly certified buildings – one LEED and one BREEAM.
