Green Towers A building is equipped with modern environment-friendly technologies. Utilised here is, among others, an air conditioning system based on ventilator clima-convecters with energy-efficient engines. High quality of air is being provided by adiabatic humidification with water mist with the use of cheaper heat energy. Outside cold air is being used for heating the building, while hot air from offices heats underground garage. LEED certificate on the highest, platinum level is a first occurence of this kind in the country.

- LEED Platinum for the first building in the complex is a great success and a source of pride. Sustainable building philosophy is a part of our company's DNA. I'm particularily pleased that we managed to face all the challenges related to completion and certification of this investment. Thanks to this we can provide even better value, not only from lessees' perspective, but investors' as well - says Waldemar Olbryk, president of Skanska Property Poland.

LEED is the world's most widely used environmental certification system, and its main criteria are building's location, effective use of water, energy usage optimisation, choice of right materials, quality of interior environment and innovative design.

- Since it was our first LEED certification for an office-services building and on the highest level from the start, it has been a great challenge. The task required a coordinated effort of a large group of people responsible for different areas, including designers, architects as well as coordinators with specialistic knowledge pertaining to LEED system. Involvement and partnership on many levels, in agreement with the idea of sustainable development, brought excellent results - says Michał Marszałek, coordinator for sustainable development, Skanska Property Poland.
