Works on the construction of Union Square are done now

The construction of the complex Union Square goes on.
Warsaw Union Square complex is to be completed in the autumn of 2013.

Since few weeks one can see a characteristic Union Square’s façade, while inside the finishing works are done. At the same time the fitting of glass roof is being ended up. The glass roof connects all parts of the complex. The completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2013.

In May this year the crane no 1 has been removed. The crane was previously used in the works connected with the construction of the highest part of the complex, the 90 meter tower. By building over the holes caused by the crane, and dismantling of the scaffolding, almost the whole elevation was uncovered. It was built with materials such as granite and black material produced of ground marble with glass at 1500 Celsius degrees. This kind of solution had never been used in Poland on such a scale. Additionally, there is about 2,9 thousand windows in Union square. All these windows combined with the elevation create  modern and elegant character of the project.

Implementation of Union Square goes in accordance with the approved schedule and there are about 700 people on the construction site. Currently, apart from last elevation works, we also finish the installation of glass roof exceeding to a height of 30 meters above the inner passage. That is over 2 thousand sqm of glass surface. In the coming weeks, we will focus especially on finishing works inside the building.- says Mariusz Dziubiński, Project Manager in Librecht&Wood.

Over the last few days the insulation of lifts and escalators between buildings A and B was carried out. The  floorings and markings on the parking lots in the underground part of the building are being done there.
