It has been over 13 years from the date of tragic attacks from 11th September and World Trade Center is opened again. Condé Nast publisher, which occupies 5 floors of the structure, started a workday in one of the reconstructed towers yesterday.

World Trade Center is currently the highest building in the USA which is 541 meter high and owns 104 floors. The building lasted 8 years and it cost 3,8 billion dollars. The name of the structure is One World Trade Center.

 

The New York symbol is towering over the city again – said Patrick Foye, an executive director in Port Authority of New York and New Jersey company which is the owner of the structure as well as plot and also a co-investor of the project along with Durst Organization. – It is the most safety office in the USA – ensured Foye, answering doubts of some employees who are afraid of the next attack on the symbol of the New York.

 

The skyscraper was made from a concrete reinforced by steel, thanks to which his construction is much more stronger from the construction of previous towers. Moreover, wide staircases were built from hardened and armed concrete which enables effective evacuation to fire fighters. – I would not have any concerns if my son got a job in this skyscraper – said architect T.J. Gottesdiener.

 

On Monday 3th November, ca. 170 employees of Condé Nast publishing concern moved into the building occupying five floors and other 3000 people will join them at the beginning of 2015. The enterprise is a publisher of such magazines as “Vogue”. “The New Yorker” or “Vanity Fair”.

 

One World Trade Center is rented in 60 per cent. One of its tenants is government institution – General Services Administration. Furthermore, the area is occupied by Kids Creative, GSA and China Center companies. The building was designed by a world-renowned architect  David Child from Skidmore Owings & Merrill architectural studio in accordance with the highest ecological standards and on the basis of LEED Gold criteria set by US Green Buildings Council.

 

The building is located in the central place of a 16-hectar plot where a twin towers used to stand. The towers were destroyed in the attack from 11th September 2001 in which 2700 people died.
