The Ericpol companies and Mill studio have obtained the Red Dot Design Award 2012 in the category of Communications Design. The prize-winning project is Agilendar, a calendar based on Agile Technology. This technology is characterized by post-in notes, used as a means of communication during the project.
It was a difficult project, as it involved not only purely graphic work, and production was very complicated. One can say that a functional, three-dimensional object was created and it was designed from a wordmark to packaging. For us, the Red Dot is the best references for the future and great satisfaction from participating in implementing this idea, as Marta Szmyd from Mill Studio says.
The design of the calendar, created by Ericpol and Mill Studio, is supposed to be used by telecommunications service providers and companies working in Agile Technology.
The calendar is based on Agile symbols and is intended to become Ericpol’s trademark and make us more recognizable as an expert in leading big projects with clever methods. The Red Dot is a great distinction and proof that we can be creative, ingenious and greatly rewarded in the world, on each level of our company’s activities, adds Jan Malkiewicz, the inventor of an idea and the co-creator of the calendar, who is responsible for communication and marketing in the Ericpol company.
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious design contests in the world. The prize presentation ceremony will take place on the 24th October, 2012 in Berlin in the Konzerthaus building.
