Shell is going to invest in Cracow

Shell Polska obtained permit for conducting business in Cracow’s special economic zone.

There is already the 136th permit issued for Krakowski Park Technologiczny since the company’s outset. Whereas, for Shell Polska it is the third permit in the special economic zone.

 

Shell is a global group of energy and petrochemical companies, which employs 93 000 employees in over 90 countries throughout the world. As a part of the new investment in cracow’s special economic zone, Shell is going to create at least 150 workplaces as well as to increase expenditure in the amount of 500 000 PLN. The company plans to expand activity of Centrum Finansowo-Ksiegowe,  which was founded in Zabierzow.

Shell Polska is currently employing almost 2 000 people in the zone. It is one of the largest service centres with its branches in Cracow. The decision regarding another, third invemstents, only confirms that the companies choosing our city are very satisfied. This is especially true  to the education level as well as vocational training of graduates of Cracow’s universities. – said Wieslawa Kornas-Kita, the President of the Board of Krakowski Park Technologiczny.

 

Cracow’s special economic zone spans over 628 hectares and is managed by Krakowski Park Technologiczny. It is divided into 29 sub-zones, located in 23 municipalities. Investors are offered with greenfield areas as well as office surfaces for lease.
