During the opening ceremony of Alchemia, it was shown how uniquely the complex combines the office and recreational-sport functions. The developer, Torus, also shared information that the construction of the second stage of the complex has begun.
I believe that in this building, ancient characteristics of alchemists will come to life, such as creativity, wisdom, stubbornness in looking for the best solutions, as well as the ability to overcome all sorts of difficulties in life. Maybe the alchemists will not discover the immortality potion here, but they will certainly help to fight against the chronic disease of the economic crisis, said at the opening Małgorzata Dobrowolska, the owner of Torus, the developer of Alchemia, and also the owner and editor-in-chief of Gdańskie Wydawnictwo Oświatowe.
Construction works of Alchemia began at the end of 2011. Within the frames of the first stage of the investment, two office towers were built - Aurum with 8 floors and Platinum with 6 floors - which share a common foundation. They provided more than 16 700 sq. m of office space. In the complex, there is also recreation and sports centre, available to everyone, which takes up almost 4600 sq. m. There are swimming pools, saunas, fitness clubs and the area with climbing walls. In the service part of the building, there is “Bazar Smaków” restaurant, which offers dishes from four cuisines of the world.
The complex received occupancy permit at the beginning of December 2013, and the recreation and sport facilities were opened at the beginning of January. The first tenants, which include companies such as Kemira, Grupa Progres and Gdańskie Wydawnictwo Oświatowe, will start working in Alchemia in February. The complex is certified in accordance with the LEED ratings, and it is the first building in Trójmiasto which received the highest certificate - Platinum.
On the opening day, Alchemia was commercialised in 70 per cent. Torus officially confirmed the start of constructing another stage. When we started the construction of Alchemia, many people looked at this project with disbelief. Some even discouraged us from its implementation, saying that it was too bold. Today, there is no doubt that we managed to create something unique. I would also like to officially announce that we have started working on the second stage of Alchemia, the functionality of which, as well as the offer of accompanying services will be a perfect complement to the first stage, and will live up to your expectations, said Sławomir Gajewski, the President of Torus.
The second stage of the complex will architecturally refer to the first one and offer almost 21 000 sq. m of office space, and over 2600 sq. m of supporting space. Within the frames of the second one, a medical centre, kindergarten with its own green square and commercial and service part will be built. It is also certified by the LEED system.
