100 metres high Ilmet will be demolished

Almost two times higher skyscraper will take place of this office. It will be designed by Danish architects.

Ilmet office which is located at ONZ Roundabout will be demolished. Its owner - connected with Switzerland bank UBS property fund quoted that new project will be designed by Danish studio Schmidt Hammer Lassen.

Surprising fact is that they want to demolish just fourteen years old structure. However, developer has higher requirements considering the plot. It results in i.a. that it is located in business part of Warsaw, the plot will be neighbouring with the II line of metro. Secondly, what convinced investor to execution of more spectacular project is neighbourhood of the business skyscrapers, such as Rondo 1 with the height of 192 metres.

According to the concept, place of Ilmet which with the round logo of Mercedes reaches 103 metres, will take a skyscraper. Correspondingly with the plan, a glass skyscraper will have about 200 metres. Office will increase a supply of office spaces by about 60 000sqm. The name of the project as well as a demolition schedule are not known yet.
