The Last Building of Arkońska Business Park Sold

Arkońska Business Park in Gdańsk
Torus has sold the last building belonging to the office complex Arkońska Business Park.

The sales agreement for the last building (A5) of the Gdańsk office complex Arkońska Business Park was signed on 7 May. The new owner is a fund managed by PZU Asset Management, which had also bought another two buildings belonging to the complex. The seller is a developer company from Gdańsk, Torus.

In May 2012, the fund bought the buildings A3 and A4, which was one of the few office deals completed in regional markets that year. This year, the sale of A5 is the second deal completed outside Warsaw (the first being the sale of the Wrosław complex Green Towers by Skanska).

When it comes to closing deals, Torus is definitely the most active and efficient developer in regional cities within the last year – observes Tomasz Puch, Capital Markets director at Jones Lang LaSalle, provider of commercial real estate services.

Arkońska Business Park is a five building complex with total floorage of 26,650 sq m. The first stage consisted in the construction of two office blocks, which were bought in October 2008 by SEB Asset Management, German real estate asset manager. Subsequently,  three more office buildings were put into service at the end of 2009.

The complex is not the only office investment deal in Gdańsk executed by the developer. Torus is presently working on a multifunctional complex Alchemia, whose first stage is going to be completed in 4Q 2013.
