Skanska buys a big plot in Warsaw

Skanska buys a big plot in Warsaw from Boryszew SA, on which it is planning to build two towers.

Skanska Group has concluded an agreement with Eastside – Bis (a company indirectly depended on Boryszew SA) concerning conditions of sale of the plot in Warsaw as well as investment project which is to be realized on this property. The plot is situated at Łucka Street in Warsaw and its size amounts to more than 5700 sq. m. The total sales amount is ca. 96 million zlotys net.

Skanska will have a right to the property after meeting a certain condition, that is not benefitting from the pre-emptive right that appertains to the president of the city. According to the report 46/2016 of Boryszew SA, the completion of the contract is planned on August this year. "Gazeta Wyborcza" informs that Skanska has purchased the plot in order to build offices on it, however, the company has not commented it yet.

According to "Gazeta Wyborcza", the plot was sold together with a building permit concerning two 105-meter-high towers with a common podium. One of them is to be a 30-tier office, whereas the second one – an apartment complex. The building of both towers was included in the development plan of Żelazna Street two years ago. The permit concerns building of residential structures as well as offices.

Boryszew SA is one of the biggest industrial groups in Poland. Its factory units are situated in 13 countries on 4 continents. The group hires more than 8 thousand employees. It specializes in preparation of components to production of cars, or processing of non-ferrous metals.
