Ghelamco buys a company that owns a plot assigned for a headquarters of mBank

A daughter company of Ghelamco purchased 100 per cent of shares in the share capital of Budomal Investment, which owns a plot assigned for a new headquarters of mBank in Łódź.

Ghelamco GP 1 limited liability company Esturia S.K.A, which is a member of Ghelamco Group, purchased 100 per cent of shares in the share capital of Budomal Investment. This entity has a plot with the total area of ca. 0.6402 ha located in close proximity to Kilińskiego and Targowa Streets in Łódź. The plot has already received a building permit, according to which an office structure is to be realized on that area. It will be the future headquarters of mBank. A loan has been incurred for realization of the investment.

 

At the same time, Budomal Investment also concluded a lease agreement on 3rd December 2015. The company is obliged to rent ca. 24 000 sq. m of office and service area in the building under the contract for mBank SA with a headquarters in Warsaw for the period of 12 years – as we may read in the announcement.

 

This new headquarters of mBank with the total area of 24 000 sq. m will be composed of 6 tiers. Moreover, 180 parking places and 100 stands for bicycles will be realized within the investment. Construction works will end in June 2017. A segment of retailed operations of mBank will be functioning in the new building and it will be a work place for over 2000 employees. The investor and developer of the project is Ghelamco Poland.
