The office building in Bełchatów is a candidate for the title of the building of the year 2014

The seat of PGE GiEK in Bełchatów is one of the finalists of Building of the Year Awards 2014.

The Building of the Year Contest is organised by Archdaily. The seat of PGE GiEK is one of the finalists in the category “Office Buildings”. “Of over 300 works from all over world, only five projects were shortlisted for the second round, including ours, the Polish one,” says Adam Białobrzeski from the company FAAB Architektura Białobrzeski Figurski.

 

The Polish project will compete with Technogym Village building in Italy (designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners), the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in China (designed by OMA), 48 North Canal Road office building in Singapore (WOHA's project), and the seat of Aquitanis in France (designed by Platform Architectures).

The project of PGE GiEK headquarters was created by the company AAB Architektura Adam Białobrzeski Adam Figurski. The building offers 6629 square metres of leasable floor area, and was built in the years 2011-2013. The project made by Adam Białobrzeski, Adam Figurski and Maria Messina in collaboration with Paulina Filas was the winner of the non-open competition.

 

Archdaily competition is divided into 14 categories, among which, apart from Office Buildings category, there are: Healthcare Architecture, Industrial Architecture, Houses, Religious Architecture, and Commercial Architecture.
