New office building of PGE GiEK

The works on the construction side of the new seat of PGE Górnictwo and Energetyka Konwencjonalna (PGE GiEK) in Bełchatów are drawing to a close.

"The building of the office block has reached its final stage," says Beata Nawrot-Miler, a spokeswoman of PGE GiEK S.A. Currently, final works are conducted in the particular fields; furthermore, functional tests and attempts to activate building's processing systems have been started.

The new seat of PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna S.A. is located in the Binków neighborhood in Bełchatów. The building's total area will amount to 6 652 sq. m. on six storeys, including one in the underground. On the lowest storey, apart from the underground car park,  technical and service offices will be situated. The ground floor, which is also the entrance level, will have representative functions for the whole building. "The storeys from one to four will constitute office floors with individual work premises as well as service and support functions," says Beata Nawrot-Miler. Tenants will be able to use outside car park with 284 parking spaces. In addition, the office building will be equipped with street furnitures and CCTV cameras.

"It is planned that the building will be handed over for use in the first quarter of this year," sums up Beata Nawrot-Miler.


PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna S.A. is one of the concerns that belong to Polska Grupa Energetyczna (Polish Energy Group). The co-partner is the hard coal mining company which generates electric energy and heat. The domestic share of this resource material extraction by PGE GiEK amounts to 78 per cent. The company produces also 40 per cent of the total production of electric energy in Poland. It provides workplaces for19 000 employees and its share capital amounts to almost 7 billion zlotys.
