Atrium 1 office building, the ‘green’ building by ONZ roundabout in Warsaw is about to begin. The investment which has already received a construction permit is to be realized by Skanska Property Poland and Skanska SA is to be its general contractor.
The project was designed by Biuro Projektow Kazimierski I Ryba. The overall space for rent in this 15 storey high building is to be 18 thousand sq. meters. Atrium 1 is to be ready to use by the end of 2013 or the beginning of 2014.
Atrium 1 is precertified by LEED on the highest, platinum level. The assumption is that this building is to be self – sufficient, which means it will generate the amount of energy it needs to function. For this reason alternative sources of energy are to be used, such as photovoltaic cells for instance.
