Over fifty buildings and events had been nominated in 9 categories: culture and science, new and old, house and flat, sport, ecology, public space, the event of 2010, and the hope of 2010. Centrum Biurowe Vinci has won in the category of office buildings.
Vinci is a typical commercial office building. However, in contrary to corporate office buildings, this one was not designed as a firm’s monument, which intended to amaze by its wealth and architectural form. The shape of the building’s body results from the effective use of possibilities imposed by the existing conditions. Studio 51, from Zakopane, is responsible for the design.
Polska Architektura XXL was held for the third time by the web portal Sztuka-Architektury.pl. From March to May 2011 specialists and internet users could vote for their favourites. The aim of the contest was to summarize the most important achievements of Polish culture.
