On May 24, the offer proposed by the consortium of four companies was chosen by limited tender. The consortium comprises of Torpol Sp. z o.o., Astaldi S.p.A., Technical Service Company and Road and Bridges Construction Company. At the same time, by the judgment of regional court „POL-AQUA” SA. was excluded from the case.
Public procurement includes several enterprises, such as modernization of railway line Warsaw – Łódź, the construction of underground part of Łódź Fabryczna station (platforms 16 meters under the ground, network of underground streets and part of bus station 10 meters under the ground) and reconstruction of roads' arrangement and infrastructure of Łódź Fabryczna railway station. The aim of the investment is to create the integrated junction above and beyond Węglowa street. Total gross price amounts to 1 759 289 451,71 PLN.
It is planned that construction works will start even this year. Apart from hotels and commercial buildings, in the ground part of the investment office buildings will be situated as well. The railway station is about to be completed in 2014.
