Ghelamco now owns three BREEAM certificates

This year’s laureate of ecological BREEAM is Katowice Business Point.

Trinity Park III, an office building belonging to Ghelamco was the first one in Poland to be given given the BREAAM certificate (BRE Environmental Assessment Method). During analyses, which were conducted in order to obtain the deed, Ghelamco cooperated with Grontmij, a licenced consulting and engineering firm. The evaluation included the use of environmentally friendly materials, sustainable management, media consumption/the use of media,   the indoor quality of air, the low generation of waste and providing friendly work condition.

Merely after half a year after reception of the first, Crown Square, located in the capital city, was given a very good grade. Grontmij, which was again the assessor, justified the decision by pointing out use of energy-efficient heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lifts and illumination as well as environmentally friendly materials. Water and energy conservation were vitally important as well as the decreased generation of waste and recycling. Crown Square has optimal access to daylight as well as fully automated management system. Both the open space as well as the closed room can be used to the maximum of their potential of effectiveness.

Katowice Business Point is this year’s laureate of the ecological BREEAM. The building received, as the two prior ones, the very good grade. Grontmij assessed this building in analogous to Trinity Park III and Crown Square categories.
