CBRE has been considered the most pro-ecological company in the real estate sector in the “2011 Green Ranking” rank drawn up by “Newsweek”. This is the third similar title awarded to the agency.
The rank evaluates the commitment of 500 biggest American companies to the environment protection. The study is based on the assessment of the company’s impact on the environment, the evaluation of the carbon dioxide emission and the analysis of corporate provisions and strategies concerning the pro-ecological activities. The rank has been drawn up in cooperation with Trucost and Sustainanalytics. Also, the greenhouse gas emission data compiled by Carbon Disclosure Project have been used.
CBRE has achieved neutrality in carbon dioxide emission in all its offices. The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded CBRE with the Partner of the Year title. CBRE has been also awarded with the Leadership Award for Organizational Excellence by the Green Building Council, and has obtained an award for Sustainable Leadership and Design-Development from CoreNet.
