The first tenant – AstraZeneca – is going to move into a structure owned by HB Reavis in December this year. The building is located at Postępu 14 Street in Warsaw.

One of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world – AstraZeneca – signed a lease contract concerning 6900 sq. m of office area on three floors (5th, 6th and 7th floor in the eastern wing) in the Warsaw office. The new tenant will also have a terrace with the size of 400 sq. m at their disposal. We cared about staying in this part of the city so that not to expose employees to big location changes. We are really pleased with the business Mokotów for its relatively good communication with other districts of Warsaw, proximity to SKM, ring road and airport. Moreover, employees appreciate cafes and restaurants as well as close neighborhood of Galeria Mokotów. First and foremost, we decided to choose Postępu 14 due to its modern and flexible setting of space, thanks to which we will be able to create more inspiring and friendly space for work – says Beata Paluchowska, Chairman for Personal Issues, AstraZeneca, Pharma Poland.

 

We are very glad that we signed our first contract for Postępu 14 with such a big company as AstraZeneca. We are even more pleased because of the fact that the company has had its headquarters in the Mokotów district for many years and it has certainly been observing a lot of buildings which were realized in that place. However, it decided to choose our office which confirms high quality of our projects. This removal is a clear evidence that Mokotów is still a very attractive location for big international companies, including both new ones and those which are on friendly terms with Mokotów – says Grzegorz Strutyński, Commercial Director and Member of the Board, HB Reavis Poland.

 

In the process of choosing a new headquarters, negotiations of lease contracts, architectural conception and realization of fit-out works, the tenant was represented by the JLL consulting company. After a thorough analysis of the market, the choice fell on Postępu 14 – mainly due to effectiveness of space and very good location enabling an optimal exposition of tenants' logotypes. It is also worth mentioning an easy access to parking places, proximity to public transport and technical specification of the building – comments Jakub Sylwestrowicz, Chairman in Department of Tenant Representation, JLL.

 

AstraZeneca has been functioning on the Polish market for 20 years. The company is specialized in the area of delivering medicines dedicated mainly to such brands of medicine as oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, diabetology, psychiatry, anesthesiology and antibiotic therapy. It hires about 58 000 employees all over the world, including over 500 people in Poland.
 

The Postępu 14 investment has 34 000 sq. m of office area and it is composed of 10 aboveground tiers. The structure received the BREEAM precertification at the Excellent level. The office is the second in Mokotów and the third on the Warsaw market investment which was commissioned by HB Reavis – a company which offers jointly nearly 132 000 sq. m of office area in Warsaw.
