On that day in Congress Center of Wrocław in Centennial Hall, the representatives of all professional groups involved in investing process will meet in order to discuss over sustainable designing: architects, engineers, developers and the representatives of universities ad city. In the second part of the seminar, workshops will take place, organized by Arup and APA Wojciechowski. They will explain the participants what sustainable designing is.
The participants of the meeting include, among others, Piotr Fokczyński, municipal architect of Wrocław, architect Zbigniew Maćków representative of Upper Silesian Architects Association, and Rafał Jarodzki Archicom company’s president, who represents developers of Wrocław associated in Polish Association of Developing Companies.
Wrocław University of Technology’s lecturers and students will be also presented.
The seminar will inauguratethe third edition of the project: “Partnership for sustainable construction”. Its founder and main sponsor is RD bud company, whose aim is to deepen the awareness of sustainable designing by initiating branch discussion among all the subjects involved in investments’ implementation.
For the sake of „Partnership for sustainable construction”, the association of companies that promote sustainable construction has originated. It comprises of the companies from various construction branches, developers, general executors, representatives of architectural studios, manufacturers and buildings’ owners.
Among them, there are such companies as: RD bud, Society of Polish Town Planners, Cushman & Wakefield, PM Group, TUP SA, Pilkington, APA Wojciechowski, HP.
This year, the partnership was joined by Kerakoll company, which offers global solutions concerning materials and services in GreenBuilding technologies, international architectural studio Broadway Malyan, law firm Certo, Autodesk company, a global provider of services on 3D designing for architectural and construction branch, as well as Responsible Business Forum and Polish Association of Developing Companies.
- We want the seminars to become a chance for both gaining knowledge on sustainable development and meeting business leaders from investment process branches. We invite everyone to exchange experiences, hoping that they will become an impulse for implementing sustainable investment – emphasized Eric Agnello RD bud’s General Director.
Each seminar, as a part of the series, will be divided into theoretical part with panel discussions and practical part, conducted in a form of workshops, which will be joined by all the participants under the watchful eyes of the specialists.
During the workshops in Wrocław, the participants under the supervision of ARUP and APA Wojciechowski, will e. g. work on model project of various objects in teams containing all professional groups involved in investing process. What will be important is the knowledge on energetic effectiveness of buildings, environmental protection, planning and organizing construction, rational water and area management, as well as financial aspect of the issue. At the end, common conclusions will be drawn.
After the inaugurating meeting in Wrocław, successive ones will take place in e. g. Katowice, Wrocław, Łódź, Tricity, Poznań and Warsaw.
