ECO Knight Frank commercialises Alma Tower

A modern office builidng Alma Tower, a project by UBM company, is being built in Kraków. Knight Frank is responsible for its commercialisation.

The Knight Frank's commercial agency has been appointed an exclusive agent responsible for commercialisation of the office building Alma Tower in Kraków. The project conducted by UBM located in 6 Pilotów Street is planned to be commissioned in May 2014. Its construction began in September 2012.

The main and first leaseholder of the office building is going to be the company Alma Mater S.A. which together with its subsidiaries will occupy 50% of the building's space.

Alma Tower is a modern building with 14 overground storeys and a 3-storey underground car park with 149 parking spaces. In addition, leaseholders may use 26 outside parking spaces. The building is situated in the vicinity of Młyńskie Roundabout, about 2 km from the Kraków's Main Train and Bus Station and 4 km from the city centre.

As the previous UBM project, Poleczki Business Park in Warsaw, this building will be certified in the LEED system. Alma Tower will vie for the highest Platinum rank. Non-toxic paints, glues and other eco-friendly finishing materials wil be used. Cyclists will especially benefit from 50 bicycle parking spaces and dressing rooms with showers. Furthermore, the investor guarantees 6 parking spaces for low-emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles (LEV). Also, some solutions will be applied in order to reduce water consumption by 40% and electric energy consumption by 25%. Additionally, in comparison to an average building, Alma Tower will emit 30% less carbon dioxide.

Other projects by UBM in Kraków are Hotel Andel's, Hotel Radisson Blu, Hotel Park Inn and a residential investment Villa Galicja.
