Finance and Accounting Center – Bayer Officially Starts its Business Activity

In Olivia Business Center complex, in Gdansk, Finance and Accounting Center of Bayer Company has officially started its business activity.

We are glad, that our team from Gdansk will join the circle of 600 employees of Bayer in Poland, and 110 500 all over the world.

Finance and Accounting Center, which has started its business activity at Olivia Business Center, supports Bayer Group and belongs to the European networks of common service centers. The center will service the accounting operations of Bayer branches in more than 20 European countries.

Bayer Service Center in Gdansk is a join project of Invest in Pomerania, which is a regional initiative gathering the Gdansk City and Gdansk Agency of Economic Development InvestGDA.

I am proud that one of the biggest and the oldest pharmaceutical companies in the world established its Finance and Accounting Center in Gdansk. It is a great opportunity for our region, to show, that on Pomerania, young people living and working in Gdansk, who because of their education, experience and openness to new challenges, are able to meet the criteria of the worldwide companies like Bayer. We hope, that the further development of the company in the next few years will bring opportunities of activity and duties expansion of our branch in Gdansk, says Pawel Adamowicz, the President of the City.

Bayer Company in Olivia Business Center will occupy additional 2 500 sqm in Olivia Tower.

We are currently employing 60 people: professionals with finance and accounting experience, along with the graduates of the universities. Till the end of 2015, we will create more than 200 work places for people with foreign language skills in more than 20 languages, including German, Scandinavian and Balkan languages. We believe that people are our biggest asset, that is why we invest in their development, claims Remigiusz Wojciechowski, Bayer Service Center Director in Gdansk.

This job is an excellent beginning for young specialists. I gain a reliable experience in the accounting area in an international environment. In addition, I am able to speak the language, which I learned during my studies, for example, Hungarian, says Aneta Krajewska, the younger accountant in Service Center in Gdansk.
